Chinese vases with colourful oriental birds, Chinese "cherry blossoms", and calligraphy characters. A medium sized, hand painted Chinese vase, with a group of four colourful oriental birds sitting on the branches of a Chinese Mei-Flower or "cherry blossom" tree. The neck and the back of the vase are adorned with Chinese calligraphy and the vase bears the stamp of the artist. The vase is made using a "cracked glaze" ageing effect, and is a highly decorative and ornamental piece of Chinese art and handicraft.
